THE DREAM-CONSCIOUS STATE: A PERSONAL JOURNAL OF INNER EXPLORATION
Bruce G. MarcotJOURNALS -- PART TWO (1986-present)
From the Euphoric to the Mundane
When I first began having lucid dreams over 20 years ago (as of this writing entry, I am currently 43 years old, in 1997), the dreams were accompanied by a tremendous sense of euphoria. I would have a wonderful rush of overwhelming well-being and joy when the lucid sense hit.
Over the years, though, this sense has greatly mollified. Now I feel a sense of accomplishment or enjoyment when lucid-dreaming, but not the original euphoric rush, even as I am now able to control my dreams more than ever. This has been an interesting evolution and I'm not sure what it means.
