Explanation: Ah, resting here at the Olasiti Lodge in northern Tanzania, we are visited by a widespread African passerine, the Tawny-flanked Prinia. This tiny Old World warbler seems hyperactive, moving about with jerky, lively motions, feeding on insects and sometimes nectar. It is a common resident of shrubs and bushy grass, often seen along waterways and in gardens. Although its population size is unknown, its wide distribution suggests that it is not vulnerable and is secure. |
