Explanation: Welcome to the remote town of Tromsø, northern Norway. Located on the island of Tromsøya, accessible from bridge from the mainland, this town is some 250 miles (400 km) north of the Arctic Circle, hugging 69 degrees north latitude. Here, looking northwest, in the distance rise amazing peaks and cliffs of the stupendous fjordlands of the north. The peaks are beyond several sea inlets, not visible here because of the topography, but they lie past the other villages of Kvaløysletta, Eidkjosen, and Ersfjordbotn. |
