equinus) |

Explanation: Sounds like a Dr. Seuss rhyme. A loan roan roams the range. This is a roan antelope, the second largest antelope in southern Africa. This young bull may have recently been split from its small herd, and is scouting for a bachelor herd to join. We are on the amazing high grassland plateau of Nyika National Park in northern Malawi of southern Africa. Roan are joined in this extensive grassland by bushbuck, zebra, lions, and the rare elephant herd.
